Salida: 2 1/2 hours from my bed. Home to the Monarch Crest, the Rainbow Trail, S Hill, Amica's Pizza, on the banks of the might Arkansas.
We got there late yesterday, woke up this morning and spent hours out on the trails. Dave, Mic, and I went there 3 years ago for Pablo's bachelor party and got a taste of some not so well known trails from the locals. Still goo-ood.
14k foot peaks on 2 horizons. Great place. Can't wait to get back.
