Zoom Zoom

I drove this baby today. It takes off pretty good and I did get a good second gear scratch. A guy who used to work at Valmont is not an engineer for the drivetrain division at GM (he told me to put my foot into it). He is down for the football game and is putting miles on this pre-production model.

Want one? Sorry, but Pontiac is only releasing 1000 this year. 15,ooo people are already on the waiting list and yearly production will only be 10,000. Zoom Zoom...

yeah... I thought it was a clever play on words, as in this may make you think of a Miata, but it aint.

GM took a deep nose-dive into the parts bin for such a unique car. Well, unique for GM. Besides the tranny, gauges are from the Chevy Cobalt, and HVAC controls are from the Hummer H3. I'm sure there's a lot more.....

Suprising there is a waiting list for a $20k Miata knock-off. Maybe it's for those who want a Miata, but won't buy foreign. There were long waiting lists for the PT Cruiser, too.
