More than a few of us have stories...

...about Winter Park. This weekend I added a few. Camped further into the valley on the Sunken Bridges trail, rode bikes for a couple days, camped in a nice grassy spot, and had a mighty fine time.

Did I mention that I rode bikes?

More pics here.

mg, you started it at lftf, talking about how it's so great up there. Yep. It is. Still. Mr. Chi showed us some great off the map stuff that would have had you freaking at the goodness. It's my new favorite trail up there.

that sounds very nice debaser. i look forward to having you guide me through some of those same off-map Chi trails next time I'm out.

I looks like visiting CO is all we'll be doing in the next year though. I don't want to steal her thunder, but I will tell you that Laura was offered, and has accepted, a position with the Lincoln Pub. Schools for the 06-07 school year. Any of you that know us well know how much of a long time coming that's been, so we're pretty darn excited, even if it does have some mixed emotion attached to staying in Nebraska for the time being.

That means she'll have summers off too, so we'll be able to travel more frequently -- to places like Winter Park.
:-}

Awesome Laura! How perfect is that!

Alright, get your roadtripping hat on already, Gersibs.

i sawed the shit out of that log. 5 cuts through a 10 incher, by hand, in less than 5 minutes i believe.

it was 1997.

1997... you're right sda -- my bad.

thanks debaser. it's a great opportunity, and LPS is an incredibly tough school district to get into. if she can get a job with LPS, she can get a job anywhere. i hope the people of Lincoln realize how lucky they are to have such an abundance of awesome teachers educating their children. it's not like that everywhere...

First, Ganzel- did you clear the mud puddle? Second, I'm selfishly disappointed at Laura's good fortune. I think moving back to CO is the only rational decision. Third, I'll keep you posted on the possibility for repair of the snap,crackle,pop steering wheel!

Hopefully WP will live up to the talk of it following in Whistler's footsteps. I'm sure the Beeyotch-a-con and InTents would dig a day riding the chairlift!

Congrats to Laura! P.
