Such a cool bike. It's gettin' to be about that season again, isn't it? I had my cross bike at the shop the other day to make sure it was in good enough shape to ride. Hadn't been on it since March or so. I hopped on it to pedal home for the huge, 1/2 mile commute. It felt great. I've had that steel beauty for 9 years now and it just feels like home when I'm on it. Steel is real. Cross bikes is real.
i always liked the light-ness and the handling, but i always wanted more tire clearance. what i learned is, once you gain the increased clearance, then you've created a different bike.
