putting new steps and a landing on my porch. using 2 stringers. they are three layers of plywood, screwed and glued together. 200 screws and 32oz of glue each. need to finish. not getting mail, currently.
i actually had structural engineer involved in a few portions of the design. i had two goals. minimize the amount of concrete and number of footings. and minimize the number of stringers. did both. i'm gonna clear coat the stringers with one million coats. the other wood is mostly cedar.

Here's what you need: a case of crappy beer, a hammer, a box of nails, and a circular saw. You'd be done in 90 minutes!
I do admire your tendancy to overbuild everything to last for an eternity.

Design? for some steps? One million coats?
I'm not surprised. Please post the finished product!
Would your mailman deliver your mail if you put a ladder up to the mailbox?
whoa, nice work brah. build right, build once.
i could have set up some sort of agreement with a temporary post or something to mount the mail box on, but i did not.
