Oh... That sucks because I might have been able to swing the lesser communte for that ride, and I havn't done it for a few years. I'm due!
Did you di the short loop (all lefts) or the longer?
I used to do that Roxborough loop all the time when I lived in Littleton. Such a great ride. I might be able to swing the long one if it's a couple of weeks out. Have you ever ridden from Waterton to South Platte? That's about 5-6 hrs round trip from the Waterton parking lot. It's super sweet. I know Chaybo, MG, and MW have all done it. That'd make a good old timey get together, too.
We rode over the top, then out a bit on the CO Trail, turned around and did all lefts on Roxborough. The Roxborough section was FUN!! I was looking at the Stevens Gulch map and noticed that you can hook up a nice loop from Waterton Canyon, to Stevens Gulch, including Indian Creek trails.
Debaser, we literally made a last minute change of plans based on time shortage. I guess we have to go back and do that right again. Damnit! And we might as well ride out to South Platte while we're at it!
Word.
davey, remember when we thought we were getting followed by a cougar at night up there? that was the most scared i think i've ever been in my entire life... i have goosebumps all over my body right now just thinking about it, and that was almost a decade ago, in 1998!
I've only done that big loop once, I remember it being a long tiring ride followed by some crazy good gyros in Golden. Probably a better ride than to the Platte and back.
s-house!!!
