North of the Border

I'd heard about some new trails in Wyoming, freshly designed by IMBA, and just east of the Laramie Enduro course. With some cold and wet weather this weekend in the mountains, we decided to head north of the border to check it out. Yep: Good stuff, tons of fun and obviously made with biking in mind. I can't wait to get back up there.

And Maysa seems to me enjoying camping so far. We couldn't be happier!

That WY stuff looks good, heard good stuff about it...

Can anyone point me in the direction of some primitive (free) camp spots near Winterpark. Going to be heading out to WP for a couple of days in late June. Any recommendations? Heard up around Vasquez Rd might be good. Thanks Rusty aka Mike R in Omaha.

Vasquez is good info. Hang a left in town and head up til you find something. Availability varies depending on what's going on at the resort that weekend. Pretty much any road heading up on that side of the valley has camping off it once you get far enough off the highway.

Hey Brian, can you hook me up with some info on Laramie area singletracks. Annie and I will be heading out in late July and were originally thinking about Crested Butte but niether of us have ridden in the Laramie area. I think we'll have 3-4 days to ride. Probably on singles.

Mod, there's a few good days worth or riding, unless you're planning on riding it all at once in the Enduro! Just remember it can get ach oh tee hot in the summer. I'd spend a few days there, then maybe bust down to Steamboat for a few days, it's only about 2 hours from Laramie. That way you'd get some mountainy goodness too.
