thought i'd let you fellas know i'm loving this bike. orginally built it fixie. i have ridden it freewheel stylee, and it makes more sense sometimes. but overall the bike is funner fixie. slower, i think, but funner. maybe not funner but sometimes its really fun. the rear dropouts are horizontal with no tensioner and the wheel has yet to slip, at all. the drop bar is comfy but you still get the shit pounded out of you when the going is rough, rooty and rocky. can't get around that. stupid rigid bikes. 3 good handpositions in the drops so you can move around to relieve any pain. or atleast move the pain over a larger area. pain. fun. more fun than pain.

That's pure sweetness. I thought about dirt drops over the mustachios for a bit. I wondered which is more funnerer.
that bike is stoopid. rigid forks are stoopid. one gear is stoopid. fixed is even more stoopid. blue is stoopid too. steel. stoopid. 29inch wheels. stoopid.
all those things are funner.
did you go for the bar tape color match for that one? sent a sample to Soulcraft and everything?
i bought the first color tape i used before i had the frame. so i guessed. i got the frame (stock color) and the bar tape i had for the build was too dark of blue. they make a lighter blue, got it, and it matches the stock powdercoat. now i need the stem to come.
Doesn't someone make a chamy in that color too?
yes they do. maybe my bike is anti-microbial also.
so, rode l/c fixed 38x17 today. wow. scary. not as bad as i thought in some parts but freeeking sketchy in some too. walked alot of the log stuff out of fear of hitting ped, and didn't make all the climbs with the tall gear. hey, but now i know what it's like...
sounds freeeky
big ole yeahbuddy for riding l&c fixed! i can see lots of sketchy spots for the fixie on that trail! i bet you cleaned the last climb no problem. cake!
that's a radical bike dood! very very jealous, but i don't deserve a bike like that.
fixxie off road is crazy fun isn't it. a freewheel is sweet and I prefer it but its kinda nice to change it up.
you'll get used to the peddles hitting crap and learn small ways to prevent it. i got so used to my peddles hitting in turns at wilderness that it actually became part of my technique to manage the tightest turns as high speed.
looking forward to doing a little scorchin' when the paths cross again, buddy.
