Good bye Sheldon

I'm sure a lot of you guys had already seen this, but I figured I'd put it up anyway. The man, the legend, the icon, Sheldon Brown has passed away.

That is sad. Wow. What a loss.

So true. Sheldon was The Man. It was a printout of bicycle wheel lacing patterns from his site that taught me the process of lacing a 3x wheel. I probably still have the printout somewhere... That was 1993.

I have that same printout somewhere in the garage. I remember one day when I lived on 17th St. Chad came over with Sheldon's plans. We were going to try building a wheel for something or other. Didn't work out that night for some other reasons, but the wheel was built shortly after.
