ONthe way back to camp we encountered a steep little uphill, with a stair stepped rock at the top. Mic came thje closest to making it, but his bike bucked right into the family jewels at the crux move of the climb. Picture is of the aftermath. 

We rode the top edge of all the red cliffs you see, all the way into the distance.

It's official!

I would lose my arse if it wasn't attached! Yup i lost all kinds of crap yesterday hat, wallet, cell phone! If the person that found my phone comes to the blog thanks for finding it and calling Magic. Must be someone that knows either Magic or me because i got a few numbers programed into that darn thing. Ya i really going through a bad stretch right now with forgetting stuff! Yesterday went to lisence my car and got and got to the front of the line "what do you mean cash or check only?" I had to go back to that damn place this morning and wander through the little roped off line for 30 minutes. I stopped to grab a cup of coffee before i went in and didn't have my wallet! WTF! The cool chicks at the coffee connection took care of me though! They have a policy there. Nobody leaves without their coffee! I owe them one! Went home and got my wallet stopped and got my plates and now i am work just waiting to loose something! I know it will happen thats just the way this week is going for me. At least my arse is still there :)

welp....no racin' action or bike vacation for me. Nope, i just stayed home and ended up taking out my new bike for a little spin that ended up more like a 40 miler. Anyway...i can't wait to hear some stories from this past weekend from ya'll !! Great pictures Ganz..allthough i know you have a boat load more. Share will ya ?

Weekend update

What a great weekend!

Friday i stopped at my halfway home point and had a few with the boys at the shop!

Gave it a go at racing for the first time in aught 5! I'm not sure if it was the course, the promoter, or all the peps from Lincoln. I sure did have a darn good time. One big ass smile on my face all day! I didn't do extremly well but i finished and that's always my main goal. Those that know me well know that i don't like to quit! The course was great tight twisty and technical. No climbing what so ever just flat out full speed ahead. My all time favorite handlebars were my demise uncut Titec flattracker wasn't fitting threw the trees real well at times. Doesn't help that you would have to go balls out in your big ring and then go into the super twisty stuff hot. I clipped a bunch of trees laid my shoulder into a few more and hit my helmet on one particular low branch on every single lap. I think i freaked CVO out at one point he was on my tail there were 3 or 4 riders in our group and i caught that flat tracker on a tree. We were grooving throught the trees purdy good at that point and i wrapped it up. Jumped back on the bike and eventullay caught back up to the group i was riding with. It was cool watching the the jones bar flow through the forest. I zoned out on it for a bit! Didn't get any original pics so i won't post any! the wolfman captured the fun that was had after the race on the teeter totters.

Sunday got out with the crew minus one(JRA had the super sale and we missed him)for a spin on the road bikes. Then i when i got home i did five nap intervals a intensity level 4! Woke up to pics from fruita that debaser posted ummmmmm ahhhhh i wanna go next time! Can't wait to have this much fun next weekend!

Commuting to work

My number of days of commuting to work is on the increase. I am purdy happy with myself. This week and last week i had four days. Well i guess i have to make it home this afternoon to call it four days. This is the time of year when i usally slip up and underdress for the morning commute in. I wake up like not even 25% awake when i check the forcast and look out the window. Hmmmmmmm sunny out right now (6-6:30 am) forcast says high of 58 degrees hey thats shorts wheather! Welp not for a few more hours and i discover this on the first three block downhill. Holycrappers its cold i need some pants gloves and hat! Darn April sunshine at 6 am is always fooling me. Oh well i've got a bunch of coffee in me now and my kneecaps are all thawed out. Forecast calls for a NW wind of 18 mph at 4 pm thats a tailwind all the way home for me!
